The Dos and Don’ts of Science Park Management: Lessons from Experienced Operators

Professionals that are appointed to set up a new Science Park face many unexpected difficulties and unanswered questions, especially if this kind of project is new to them. Our 2006 Helsinki “Learning by Sharing” Pre-Conference Workshop will look at the dos and don’ts of Science Park management.

Five successful Science Park managers will share with you their experience on problems encountered and solutions implemented; discuss what worked and what didn’t; and disclose which mistakes you should avoid. Some of the experts are in charge of very mature and consolidated projects whereas others are running much newer projects. Furthermore they come from both developed countries and from emerging areas and their vast experience will allow you to shorten your learning curve considerably.

The Workshop is a one-day event held in Helsinki prior to the XXIII IASP World Conference on Science and Technology Parks. It is organised directly by the IASP Headquarters and has a separate registration fee.
